The renowned Japanese label AURALEE has once again joined forces with New Balance, this time to deliver two fresh colorways of the classic 475 model, set to drop in Spring/Summer 2025. Unveiled during the June Paris Fashion Week event, these AURALEE x New Balance 475 collaborations showcase the brand’s signature elegant and contemporary approach to footwear design.
AURALEE’s previous collaborations with New Balance, such as the 1906R and WRPD Runner, have consistently demonstrated the label’s ability to create versatile and subtly unique re-interpretations of classic silhouettes. This latest two-pack is no exception, as it seamlessly blends AURALEE’s refined aesthetic with the timeless appeal of the New Balance 475.
The highlight of this collaboration is undoubtedly the “buttery” yellow pair, which features pastel shades on the base and suede overlays, contrasted by the traditional grey coloring on the heel and New Balance logo. The result is a striking yet understated design that is sure to turn heads and become a staple in any sneaker enthusiast’s collection.
The second pair in the collaboration embraces classic grey treatments, reminiscent of countless New Balance essentials. While it may not break new ground in terms of color, the shoe’s material composition mirrors that of its yellow counterpart, ensuring a consistent level of quality and comfort.
The release of these AURALEE x New Balance 475 collaborations comes at an exciting time for fans of the 475 model, as it appears to be undergoing a revival. With Teddy Santis recently sharing another upcoming pair on Instagram, it seems that the long-archived 1980s trail shoe will be surfacing more frequently in the coming months.
