For a history buff’s insight, the Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” was originally christened the “Air Jordan 11 Columbia.” Michael Jordan’s sole documented on-court wear of this colorway came during the 1996 NBA All-Star Game held in Phoenix. Due to the white and blue color scheme, the shoe never graced Jordan’s feet as a Chicago Bull or a Washington Wizard.
Originally released during the Air Jordan 11’s initial run in 1996, the “Columbia” saw its first retro release in 2001. Fast forward to 2014, Jordan Brand brought it back under the “Legend Blue” moniker.
