With confirmed availability in all family sizes, the brand is banking on the Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” being a runaway success during the crucial holiday shopping season.
While detailed previews of the shoe have circulated previously, these latest images come directly from certified Jordan Brand retailers, offering the most accurate picture yet of what to expect later this year. The iconic shoebox packaging remains under wraps, but anticipate the familiar black lid, gray box, and black tissue paper that graces other Air Jordan 11 releases during the December holidays.
For a history buff’s insight, the Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” was originally christened the “Air Jordan 11 Columbia.” Michael Jordan’s sole documented on-court wear of this colorway came during the 1996 NBA All-Star Game held in Phoenix. Due to the white and blue color scheme, the shoe never graced Jordan’s feet as a Chicago Bull or a Washington Wizard.
Originally released during the Air Jordan 11’s initial run in 1996, the “Columbia” saw its first retro release in 2001. Fast forward to 2014, Jordan Brand brought it back under the “Legend Blue” moniker.
The Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” (style code: CT8012-104) is slated for a December 14, 2024 release.
