The Nike Air Max Plus “Black/Chrome,” slated to debut in the Fall/Winter 2024 season, illustrates a fascinating intersection of heritage and contemporary aesthetics. While Nike has recently turned its attention to the forthcoming 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95, the Air Max Plus, designed by Sean McDowell, continues its evolution with fresh colorway releases at a pace that rivals, if not surpasses, its predecessor. This model, known for its association with dynamic gradient designs, is now venturing into uncharted stylistic territories.
The Air Max Plus “Black/Chrome” (Style code: HJ9743-001) exhibits a refined visual appeal through its application of chromatic silver TPU overlays. These overlays evoke a distinct “Liquid Metal” aesthetic, imbuing the shoe with a futuristic aura. This modern design element is juxtaposed against a predominantly black backdrop, achieved through the use of standard materials. The result is a sophisticated and understated color scheme that borders on a “Triple Black” configuration, offering a subtle yet noticeable twist on a classic.
The “Black/Chrome” colorway will be available for purchase during the Fall/Winter 2024 shopping season at a retail price of $185.
