The Nike Air Max Plus, affectionately nicknamed the “Tn” by sneakerheads, has been steadily building momentum in recent years. While the Air Max Plus Drift carves its own path with unique variations, the OG model continues to release fresh colorways to satisfy this resurgent demand. The latest iteration ditches the “Triple Black” approach, opting instead for a captivating twilight aesthetic.
The Air Max Plus is well-known for its gradient mesh uppers, and this greyscale edition isn’t an exception. However, upon closer inspection, the black-to-white pattern adopts a subtler presence. This monochromatic theme extends across the entire shoe, with black and white dominating the remaining sections. Material-wise, the tongue, heel, and extended mudguard swap to a carbon fiber construction, or at least mimic the look with a detailed pattern.
To prevent excessive uniformity, the traditional hits of yellow on the Tn branding are balanced by subtle “Racer Blue” accents on the outsole and mirrored on the Swoosh. The overall impression is a business-like attitude, but one that retains enough of the shoe’s classic appeal to make them a versatile choice.
The Nike Air Max Plus “Black/Anthracite” is expected to launch on Nike.com soon, with a price tag of $180.
