Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance have once again joined forces to create a collection that is sure to turn heads. The New Balance 1000, a classic silhouette, has been given the Aimé Leon Dore treatment, resulting in three clean and essential colorways that showcase the brand’s signature style.
Teddy Santis, the creative director of New Balance and founder of Aimé Leon Dore, has teased the collection on social media in recent weeks, building anticipation among sneaker enthusiasts. Official images from Aimé Leon Dore provide a detailed look at the collection, hinting at a release that could be just around the corner.
The trio of colorways includes monotone black, grey, and white, each with a sleek and contemporary aesthetic. While the grey and white pairs opt for a simple mix of traditional leather and external TPU elements, the black pair stands out with its unique material composition. Featuring a mesh base, patent leather overlays, and a tactile rubber toe cap, the black colorway adds an extra layer of texture and depth to the collection.
Aimé Leon Dore’s imprint is unmistakable, with debossed “AIMÉ” branding on the toe of each pair. The attention to detail extends beyond the shoes themselves, with contrast laces, Y2K-inspired hangtags, and honeycomb insoles adding to the overall appeal of the collection.
While winners of the raffle have already been notified for all three New Balance 1000 colorways, there is still hope for those who missed out on the initial release. The black and grey colorways appear to be exclusive to the Aimé Leon Dore website, but the white colorway is set to drop via a wide release on the New Balance website on June 20th.
