The Nike Air Max 2013 “Metallic” is a sneaker that demands attention with its eye-catching use of metallic hues. This underrated shoe from Nike’s archives has been given new life through a dazzling colorway that combines Metallic Silver, Pewter, and Gold treatments.
First released in 2013, the Nike Air Max 2013 had a brief initial run before being pulled from shelves. However, the model made a triumphant return in 2022 through a collaboration with Stüssy, reintroducing the sneaker to a new generation of fans. Since then, Nike has continued to release fresh colorways of the Air Max 2013, much to the delight of sneakerheads everywhere.
While not typically considered a “tech-runner,” the Nike Air Max 2013 “Metallic” certainly channels that aesthetic through its liberal use of shimmering metallic accents. The upper is dominated by Metallic Silver, Pewter, and Gold, which flare up near the collar, eyelets, forefoot, and mudguard in an eye-catching display. Gold accents play a supporting role, framing a crisp white Swoosh and forming the slim leather eyelet strip.

Staying true to the original Air Max 2013 design, this “Metallic” iteration features a full-length, blue-tinted Air midsole for cushioning and visual impact. The outsole is rendered in black, providing a stealthy contrast to the shimmering upper.
The Nike Air Max 2013 “Metallic” is currently available in men’s sizing on Nike.com for $180.
