The Air Jordan 6 is receiving a highly anticipated “Reverse Oreo” treatment this summer, offering a fresh take on a beloved color scheme. This upcoming release flips the script on the original “Oreo” Air Jordan 6 from 2010, with a clean white upper accented by black detailing.
While sneaker releases were less frequent back in 2010, each new addition to Michael Jordan’s signature line felt special. The “Oreo” Jordan 6 stood out with its unique two-tone colorway, even though it wasn’t entirely original – it shared some resemblance to the “Motorsport” AJ6 released earlier that year, albeit in a much more limited quantity.
The Air Jordan 6 “Reverse Oreo” pays homage to its predecessor, but with a twist. This iteration features a full premium leather upper, ditching the suede panels seen on the 2010 version. The crisp white dominates the shoe, allowing the black accents on the tongue and heel to pop. The “Oreo” inspiration comes through the midsole, where dark speckles are sprinkled across a white base. The black and white theme continues throughout the sole unit, with icy blue traction zones adding a final touch of flair. Jumpman logos on the heel and the signature icy blue outsole complete the design.
Scheduled to release on June 8th, 2024, via the Nike SNKRS app and select Jordan Brand retailers, the shoe will be available in full family sizing, ensuring there’s a pair for everyone.
