PUMA and Danielle Guizio have reunited to release a second PUMA Speedcat drop, this time in a classic black and white color scheme. The New York-based designer has once again lent her unique touch to the low-top silhouette, elevating it with premium materials and subtle details.
The monochrome edition of the Speedcat highlights the shoe’s racing-inspired shape, channeling the sleek aesthetic of an F1 circuit. The smooth leather upper is contrasted by a white PUMA Formstrip, while a subtle “Guizio” tab on the tongue adds a touch of designer flair.
First introduced in 1999, the PUMA Speedcat was originally designed for the world of Formula 1 racing. After gaining popularity in the mid-2000s as a fashion and sneaker culture icon, the silhouette was officially reintroduced by PUMA in June 2024.
While some recent collaborations have focused on bold, experimental modifications, the latest PUMA Speedcat x Danielle Guizio embraces a minimalist approach that celebrates the shoe’s core aesthetic.
The PUMA Speedcat x Danielle Guizio will be available at selected PUMA retailers and the new Guizio flagship store in New York City starting November 9, 2024.
