Renowned footwear virtuoso Salehe Bembury recently teased a new iteration of his highly anticipated Crocs Cypress collaboration. This new iteration comes just weeks after the unveiling of a bold red and neon green iteration of the duck boot, which showcased a more subdued aesthetic. Bembury took to Instagram to unveil the latest Crocs Cypress, which features a color scheme familiar to outdoor footwear aficionados. The brown and green palette, often referred to as “beef and broccoli,” adorns the shoe’s distinctive design. While official confirmation is still pending, the colorway’s resemblance to the beloved “Beef and Broccoli” combo has sparked considerable speculation among sneaker enthusiasts.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Cypress Duck Boot features a dark green canvas upper meticulously triple-stitched to a brown molded bottom, exemplifying Bembury’s meticulous approach to design and construction. The shoe’s functionality is enhanced by an extra-grippy rubber outsole that features an enlarged version of Bembury’s signature fingerprint pattern, a recurring motif in his collaborations with Crocs. This distinctive pattern adds both visual appeal and practical functionality to the footwear.
In addition to teasing the new colorway, Bembury revealed via his Instagram story that the previously shown red and green variant was a one-of-a-kind creation for artist Toro y Moi. This revelation confirms previous hints from Bembury, suggesting a special collaboration with the musician. Adding to the anticipation surrounding his work, Bembury confirmed “multiple” releases planned for 2024, promising an exciting year for fans of his designs.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, the Salehe Bembury x Crocs Cypress Duck Boot is expected to hit retail shelves before the end of the year.
