The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 continues to expand its color story, this time blending the familiar dad-shoe look with a vibrant splash of citrus yellow.
Utilizing a neutral Photon Dust shade on the overlays, the Swoosh adds pops of black on the TPU cage and heel armor, with the Swoosh and tongue logos mirroring this color scheme. However, the true star of the show is the mesh base. Flooded in a combination of Laser Orange and University Gold, it injects a refreshing dose of sunshine into the silhouette, transforming it from a long-distance running shoe into a summer statement piece.
The Zoom Vomero 5 has enjoyed a strong resurgence in recent times, but with the 2000s tech runner aesthetic continuing to dominate, some wonder if Nike might be oversaturating the market. To maintain momentum, the brand may need to diversify its offerings and cater to a wider range of price points.
For those who remain loyal to the Vomero 5, however, this citrus yellow iteration provides a welcome update, and it’s expected to hit stores this summer for $160.
