Building upon the success of the original Hot Step Air Terra, the NOCTA Hot Step 2 “Total Orange” boasts a bulkier design reminiscent of late 1990s turf trainers. The shoe features molded uppers and exterior metallics, sitting atop a newly crafted outsole with visible Zoom Air technology for enhanced comfort and performance.
Fans of Drake and sneaker enthusiasts alike have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Hot Step 2 since the rapper first showcased the shoes during his “It’s All A Blur” tour in the fall of 2023. The “Total Orange” colorway is a striking departure from the more subdued tones often associated with NOCTA releases, making it a must-have for those looking to make a bold statement with their footwear.
The Hot Step 2’s design is a testament to the collaborative efforts between Nike and NOCTA, with subtle branding elements throughout the shoe. The iconic Swoosh appears on the inside of the ventilated plate on the lateral side and at the forefront of the nylon mesh toe, while the NOCTA swords are prominently displayed on a circular logo on the tongue. The metallic plating at the heel adds a touch of luxury to the overall design.
While the “Total Orange” colorway is stealing the spotlight for now, Drake has also hinted at a white version slated for release alongside the orange one sometime this summer.
The NOCTA x Nike Hot Step 2 in “Total Orange” lands on April 4th, 2024, via the SNKRS app for a retail price of $200.
