Renowned footwear designer Ronnie Fieg has unveiled a collaboration between Kith, ASICS, and Marvel, focusing on the iconic supervillains that have captivated comic book fans for decades. The “Supervillains” pack, as revealed by Fieg on his Instagram, showcases three ASICS silhouettes: the GT-2160, Gel-1130, and Gel-Kayano 14, each drawing inspiration from notorious Marvel characters.
The collection pays homage to the likes of Green Goblin, Venom, Magneto, and even the cosmic entity known as Silver Surfer. Ronnie Fieg’s creative vision shines through in the meticulously crafted colorways, with each sneaker embodying the essence of its corresponding character. The GT-2160, for instance, comes in two distinct variations – a red, white, and blue colorway representing Spider-Man, and a black, purple, and blue version channeling the sinister aura of Venom.
Fans of the Green Goblin will be thrilled to see the GT-2160 adorned in the villain’s signature green and yellow hues. Meanwhile, the GEL-Kayano 14 takes on a mesmerizing silver iridescent upper with violet accents, paying tribute to the enigmatic Silver Surfer. Rounding out the collection is the Gel-1130, which embraces the regal purple and red tones associated with Magneto, the master of magnetism.
Alongside the sneakers, Fieg has also introduced Kith-branded comic issues, adding an extra layer of excitement for collectors and enthusiasts alike. While the specifics of the comic book releases remain unclear, the Spider-Man x Venom pack appears to include its corresponding comic, hinting at the possibility of a more immersive experience for fans.
While the official release date and details remain shrouded in a bit of mystery, Kith is expected to unveil this information soon.
