Renowned performance footwear brand HOKA recently unveiled its latest expansion, a new flagship store in Paris, marking a significant step in its European journey. Located in the vibrant Opéra district at 35 boulevard des Capucines, this location not only immerses customers in the brand’s innovative offerings, but also serves as a cultural hub for athletic enthusiasts.
Since its creation in 2009, HOKA, a division of the American Deckers Brands Group, has continued to revolutionize the running shoe industry. With roots deep in the Alps, the brand’s design philosophy is in harmony with nature, which is evident in the layout of its new Paris store. The 140m2 space is a gateway to experience the brand’s ethos of joy and commitment to sport.
The interior of the Paris store features a design inspired by the outdoors, incorporating elements that reflect HOKA’s alpine heritage. In addition, interactive screens throughout the store offer visitors a dynamic way to connect with the brand’s philosophy and explore its wide range of products.
Guido Geilenkirchen, Vice President & General Manager of HOKA EMEA, expressed his excitement about the new opening: “Opening a boutique in France is a natural step for the brand and a way to honor our roots in the Alps, where HOKA was born. French runners have supported HOKA from the beginning and we are proud to welcome them to the new HOKA store where they will find their favorite products as well as our latest innovations. This opening also reflects our commitment to building a long-term relationship with Parisians and urban runners. Now more than ever, Paris is the 2024 Capital of Sport and we’re excited to be part of this great community.“
The Paris store is HOKA’s second European boutique, following its first in London’s Covent Garden, which will open in October 2023. The choice of Paris, specifically the Opéra district, known for its shopping appeal and central location, underscores HOKA’s strategy to integrate into the lifestyles and preferences of urban runners and sports enthusiasts.
Looking ahead, HOKA is not only expanding its physical presence, but also fostering community engagement through activities such as the HOKA Run Club. This initiative will launch its inaugural event on May 21, inviting runners of all skill levels to unite around their shared passion for running. The event promises to be an enriching experience with opportunities to test the latest HOKA models, interact with brand experts and athletes, and enjoy personalized gifts.
