We are very excited about the latest partnership between sportswear giant Reebok and Japanese fashion powerhouse BEAMS. Their fresh take on the Reebok Instapump Fury fuses Y2K aesthetics with contemporary street style, marking another milestone in their decade-long collaboration.
Launching worldwide on November 6th at $230, the redesigned Instapump Fury showcases BEAMS‘ distinctive design approach while respecting the sneaker’s revolutionary heritage. The model features a pristine white mesh foundation contrasted with bold black accents, while a chrome leather pump bladder adds an unmistakable futuristic touch.
Shingo Arai, Head of Buying for BEAMS, shared his perspective: “We wanted to create a shoe that captures the over-the-top, futuristic style of the early 2000s while staying true to the edgy, trendsetting spirit that has defined both BEAMS and Reebok since the beginning.“
The collaboration highlights thoughtful details, including custom BEAMS text on the pump ball and strategic placement of the Reebok vector logo on the toe. These elements blend seamlessly with the shoe’s innovative split sole design and Carbon Plate technology, which revolutionized running footwear when it debuted in 1994.
The partnership between these brands dates back to 2014 and has resulted in numerous successful projects, including adaptations of the Club C Laceless Mule and Workout models. Their shared vision consistently produces footwear that resonates with both sneaker enthusiasts and fashion-forward consumers.
“Since our first collaboration with Reebok a decade ago, we’ve created so many beautiful pieces together,” said Arai, “each time blending our unique aesthetic with Reebok’s signature designs and staying true to our shared values to create products we’re proud of.“
The release schedule begins with an exclusive BEAMS launch on November 1st, followed by wider availability on Reebok.com and select retail partners on November 6th at 10am EST.
