adidas has officially launched its first dedicated padel shoe, the CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike. This marks a significant milestone for the brand, which has been deeply involved in the sport for over a decade. The CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike is designed to meet the specific needs of padel players, offering a combination of speed, stability and comfort.
The development of the shoe was a collaboration between adidas and some of the world’s leading padel players, including Ale Galan and Marta Ortega. Their insights were instrumental in creating a product that could meet the needs of both professional and amateur players.
One of the outstanding features of the CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike is its LIGHTSTRIKE midsole. This ultra-lightweight foam cushioning provides excellent energy return and comfort, making it ideal for fast sprints and dynamic movements. The SLING-FRAME construction provides lightweight support for quick directional changes and provides stability without restricting the foot.
The MULTIDIRECTIONAL TRACTION PATTERN on the outsole provides exceptional grip where you need it most. The circular “pivot point” pattern in the outsole’s highest rotational impact area enhances agility and responsiveness.
Together, these technologies offer padel players the perfect blend of speed, stability and lightness, allowing them to play with freedom and reach their full potential.
Ale Galan, one of the world’s leading padel players, expressed his excitement about the CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike: “Working with adidas to provide insights for this shoe has been one of the most exciting experiences of my career. To be a part of its first padel shoe has been an inspiring process, and I feel like the CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike is going to help us push our game to the next level, on and off the court.“.
The CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike is just the beginning of adidas’ commitment to padel. The brand plans to introduce additional padel footwear models later this year to further expand its offering for the growing sport.
The CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike is available on the adidas website, in stores and via the adidas app.
