Inspired by Chapter 1 of Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, the S-GENDO RUN explores the unexpected beauty found in the fusion of organic and synthetic elements. The most striking feature is the hollow plate in the midsole, a bold experiment with negative space and elevation. This design choice echoes the Japanese concept of “Ma,” where empty space amplifies meaning and form. The result is a defiant expression of Y-3’s signature “Contra-Natural” aesthetic.
